2015, attending classes on Italy, France, Spain, North America, wine regions.

2014, we had a lot of fun, exploring wines from Austria, New Zeland, Australia, South America. We had the privilege to taste wines that originated from Chelle Mountain Vineyard located in Paso Robles.

In 2013, I tasted close to 1100 wines, while I was able to upload most of the notes, I still have a good stack to complete. Later in the year, I became a volunteer President, for the Northern CA Velodrome Association. In my second term, I will have to change the meeting night, it currently resides on a prime tasting night.

In 2014, I will continue my discovery of varietals by holding tasting sessions focused in on: French Regions, Austria, Germany, Argentina, Chile and the Eastern United States.

In 2013, I have a goal to taste 1000 wines. I live fortunate enough to live near many wine bars and wine shops that offer weekend and special event tastings. I also plan on doing the normal grand tastings: Zinfandel Festival, Rhone Rangers, World of Pinot Noir, Santa Cruz Mountains Passport, Russian River Weekend and many more Association weekends.

In 2012, I held 12 tasting sessions and a few weekend events. I will continue to hold monthly tastings but will be expanding past the California borders. January-March, we'll be visting Italy, April - Oregon. I'll track my events in my notes section.

2011. I started out like most, Chardonnay for white and Merlot for Red. Over time and a lot of tastings I found that I enjoy a number of varietals. Currently, I'm very much into Petite Sirah, Bordeaux Blends and Pinot Noir from Carneros.

How I came to starting a wine review site. When I read the popular wine magazines, I would find myself constantly skimming the ratings for one that received a high mark but more importantly I could afford. More than not, I end up on the last page with just a few selections. There has to be more out there. I plan to find them, take photo evidence and post my notes.

I am looking forward to learning more about each region, grape varietals, what happens when it rains late into the season, what happens if its a drought year. When I visit vineyards and tasting rooms, I ask questions about their vineyard, why they grow a certain grape, what are their favorite wines. The more we can learn from those in the trade, the better wine consumers we will be.
